DX3S has a roller button, which pretty much does all you menu functions, EPA, model select EVERYTHING.
Its a common occurance from what ive seen that his button fails. There is a stand alone button next to the roller, ive got no idea what this botton does as everytime I press it it does nothing. So me and a Rossco (Rossco did the work while I finish a bottle of burbon
) removed the screen cover (just peels off, removed the grip and all screws took it apart and swapped the buttons around (this requires some soldering) and hey presto its as good as new, just doesn't have a side button next to the roller.
Before I did this I made some inquiries and confirmed that spekky will not replace just the button but the circuit board for the roller and 2 buttons, don't know the cost but this fix will cost you nothing but some time and a bit of solder.
