yep good mod

Thanks for responding!
I was afraid that the tubing used on the rovan/km roll cage would be too large in diameter to work.
I have work to do on the front end & I am waiting for this pc to arrive so I can install it & not have to remove the rear shock tower.

i made my own cage quick release connectors but i can tel you that the cage diameter is the same on both km, rovan as compared to hpi

i did it the diy way... found some 1/2" aluminum tubing on line for $3 for 3 feet of it. i believe its 11mm i.d. its a lil bigger then 3/8" i.d. cause the roll bar them self are about 3/8". wow. i just confused myself.. lol 1/2" o.d. x 3/8" (minimum) i.d. good luck and yes. its an amazing mod. such a time saver...

Well nothing seems to be easy with this thing.
I ordered this & rec'd it today.

Wouldn't you know it.
My Concerns about varying diameters of the roll cage tubing were confirmed.
I cut the roll cage & deburred it with a dremmel.
There was no way the one side was going to go in.
My calipers confirmed it.
I broke out my numbered drill bit set & proceded to spend about an hour making the ID big enough to slide on.
I should have gone a little larger yet, but a hammer finished the job.
I guess I should have purchased the more expensive adapters but in the end it all went together.
I will def need a hammer to remove it but a few taps are better than removing the rear shock & cross member.

i hear that...

that is why i did it the diy way... i do have some of the aluminum rod left. i can cut you 2 pieces of it. may not be as pretty as the one you bought. but i have about 2 1/2' left of it if you need some.... if you look at my pics in INTRODUCE YOURSELF you will see how i did mine and you can let me know if you are interested... :)

Thanks for the offer Eyeopener but i got mine on there. It took me over an hour of "honing" to get the opening big enough..
Thanks
