i was losing a bit of interest in this hobby and the fg has just sat on the shelf getting dusty i gave up on the on road and sold on parts i had been saving

but seeing these rails and everyone i see gets better and better they look strong and fun has got me right back into the hobby i have enjoyed for many years and i even had the beetle out today for the first time in seems like months and i realy enjoyed it

Good on ya Ren,I'm going to have to get one too;).There is something amiss here though. Why the hell would you build a sandrail and not paint it? It'll rust in no time and looks shite unpainted.
J:rolleyes:

voo hows your alloy km going im thinking of using a km 3.0 for the build id ditch the radio and engine for a zen

Funny you should ask that Ren,I sold it to 1275 Mini.......................and then bought it back:lol::lol::lol:
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.Thats a better idea removing the mill and radio gear, aprt from that your good to go.;)

in the vid if you look its like its been sprayed in clear laquer as its realy shiney or its been covered in wd4o
it looks cool in raw finish but id have mine painted or powder coated i love the orange plus using a km 3.0 thats all orange as well bonus

yes orange has been done before who cares its not been done by me

thanks i was sure it was shorter but the seeing its got the stock tank i remember you telling me it only fits in the lwb,it don't look as long as yours for some reason

yeah it will need somthink a bit tasty in the power departent but im not going to go mad if you think a stock 26cc zen with the right pipe can give just over 5 hp

my bug is full alloy and a tad on the heavy side but the 23cc oddie throws that around no problems and the more alloy i put on the bug the better it handled

these rails from what ive been reading up on they are around the same weight as a stock baja i know using a alloy km will add a bit more extra weight im looking at the 4 bolt 29cc zenoah as a starting point maybe a mmr pro mx 30.5 if budget allows

im also thinking more along the lines of stock engine because i may be running on the beach and at some point sand will get in somewhere so it will be alot cheaper to rebuild and not as gutting if it does
