Rossmods have always been very competitive with their pricing but just been on their website and some costs are now way expensive.....
Just comparing them against Modelsport without doing any searching here are some examples...........

The Punisher is £649 compared to £579 at Modelsport
5b RTR is £766 compared to £739
Etronix 2.4ghz 2ch stick set £40 compared to £35
Tamiya Lunchbox Kit £115 compared to £89 (I bought 1 from Rossmods 12mth ago for £79 so quite an increase!!)

I darent look at the cost of FG parts now :scared:

Hmmmm, I notice that's denoted in British pounds if I'm not mistaken. Is it possible that import tariffs have changed for the vendor sourcing the parts / kits? Or the more likely, and simple explanation, their distributor went up on their prices, which ultimately get passed along to us, the consumer.

think its hit & miss with them, some parts are cheaper, some are not! but to be honest i just use hobbythek now for 90% of my FG parts, cheaper than UK even the postage! & the postage is usually faster than if i bought from UK! lol

Hobbytek are cheaper than most on FG bits (because they're 80% owned by Franz) but you don't get the advice either in person or on the phone like you do when you walk into a local hobby store.

very true, but they are good with emails if you have any questions, usually answer same day :)

There are many influences over the prices in the uk, high fuel costs means rise in posstage and distribution costs, vat has went up and manufacturer have increased prices at the end of the toy fair and most have which again means that the distributor has to alter their prices accordingly but although there have been price increases from the likes of fg and lrp at the end of febuary ,they haven't done what xray and losi done and slammed a big percentage on things they have both been sensible and shown minimal increases these increases came about as raw material prices have went up

Also both ross mods and west coast models in scotland will price match and try and keep their prices competitive and fair but people do have to support local model shops without people doing this these shops will disappear.
