Talking about traction! Today I was running on a dirt road which had lots of corrugations, about 5 inches apart. My Baja left tracks which were visible only 50% of the time, and even though it has only 23cc (plus Mielke pipe) I had wheelspin right through to top speed, and even backing off, the tail would hang out for 20-30 feet! There was a huge area of sand off to the side, and traction was actually better there than on the road!

The road I live down is also gravel....reasonably coarse....the baja is hopeless on it....like driving on fookin marbles.

I tend to keep it on grass & dirt & occasionally on fine gravel bmx tracks.

I run on bmx tracks with sperera down at his place and the baja becomes a real handful.

nice vid rus, i love the rooster tails!

yeah those bmx tracks can be a real handful.

i went to the doveton one on sat, it was very wet but no major puddles so I thought id have a run.

Ran a tank, mate the damp ground gives it so much more traction! I had a ball, the FG came back filthy but you know what, I quite like the look of it covered in mud! :)

i think ill be coming up to your place in winter mate, as long as I can use the karcher before I go home!

i wont wash the shell till i come up there, I reckon the beetle looks awesome filthy LOL. :)

Hi Rossco,

Do you really have winters there or is more an extended autumn? Here in the Netherlands we have a winter. Since december most of our country is covered in snow and ice!

Yeah mate...we sure do....we just don't get snow very often (maybe once every 10 years)

Last winter was mostly wet until it froze........had nearly 2 weeks of ice here at my place........then 4 weeks of mud mud mud.

Our winters are not as severe as yours are but we do get it.
