I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this post, I'm sure that someone said that rovan and km were the same or atleast the seller. But anyway I was looking and seen on ebAy a electric 5b, I haven't been keeping up with the electric scene since before traxxas came out with the erevo. ( I custom built a erevo with the brushed emaxx motor and tranny several months before rc action did a story about the brushless one that someone had made) anyways I was wondering if someone that knew a lot a out electric could tell me about the set up. I.e run time with the included battery, I think it was a i7 life battery I think ect... I posted this from my phone so please any grammer or spelling issues =D
 
I'm into Brushless electric. I'm not aware of what brand esc it comes with looks like a hobbywing. If it was me, I would buy a roller baja, Dan sells one and buy a conversion kit and a castle creations 1/5 combo. they have a 1 year warranty on the esc and motor. best customer service in the industry. The xl-2 have burned up but so have many chinese esc with no warranty. The runtimes will depend on gearing, driving style,ect. but i would assume around 30 min easy. One more thing is the included battery is liFe, not lipo. lipo is more powerful. If you do want this buggy email him on ebay for the best deal Dan is a great guy and will cut the price.
 
Hey thanks Phil, that's exactly the answer i was looking for because I was a little hesitant with the brand of electronics in the buggy. So what's the difference between life and Lipo, I'm going to assume that they both require different style of chargers. With that being said what would be the most cost efficient for a basher? Thanks in advance =D
 
Life is 3.3v/cell as lipo is 3.7/cell nominal. so lipo has more voltage and usually more powerful. Check out Turnigy nanotech pack at hobbyking.com for packs. this is a good deal on the combo also. I have ordered from him before. seems like a great seller. i have no afiliation (sp?) most new chargers handle both types but with 1/5 scale i would look for a higher wattage charger.
