ok most of u that know me know that im a massive FG fan, owned 3 and still have 2. i also have nothing against clones, i think if the original manufacturer allow it that means they are getting some kind of a kick back.
 
same as the FG though and they don't have a reduced fuel tank, im guessing typo.

once these get into full swing there might be a heap of cheaper parts for the FG guys, depending on quality ofcourse.
 
Given the good reputation of the existing Rovan/Predator range. I don't see why the Big Monster should be anything but good value
 
Don't forget how much FG vehicles cost 10 years ago.
The market has become much more competitive.
I don't think manufacturers can risk throwing poor quality products at the market these days - it will be exposed too quickly.

Had mine about 2 weeks now. Blew the rear diff gears in about 1/2 a tank. Predator sent replacements frree of charge. Going well now. 2 tanks loosening up nicely. Will get a few tanks through it ova easter.
Probaly the same as with my clone Baja few things will go wrong in the beginning just replace with the best avadable and youl be right. I have a set of the FG hardend gears comming for the diff,

I don't get it, cant the original company sue the clone makers?

because they are stealing their design?

For example, (if i was the owner of hpi baja...... i'd ban king motor for robbing
my design and make sure they get shut down for good! )

So why has'nt this happend yet?

Very interesting question that could be debated forever until the manufactures speak up and mention it on some forums for us all to know - Or do they want us too?;)
 
I see in the first pic they are using the new Flysky 3channel radio, those radios are slick, my buddy kevin uses that with his nutech...

and the question why doesn't the manufactures go after the cloners? well simple they are probllay are a sub company think about, gm has cars like the "AVEO" made by daveo, by yet throw a chevy badge on it lower qauilty car, but yet call it there own.. same as the the vibe not american either, you can guess what name brand that is.and the list go on..

I'am not going to start a clone vs manufacture debate.. I think they all have there "WEAK" points and good points..
 
The clone manufacturers would have most definately BOUGHT the rights to produce them.....

They would have been hammered with lawsuits without buying into the copyrights...

Besides that...they could all be sub companies like the ones under General Motors...ie...Holden,Chevrolet,Buick,Cadillac,GMC,Opel,Vauxhall!!!....They all work under one major company......GM...

So who's to say RC companies aren't any different?????

I don't know about anyone else but I'm sick to death of hearing people whining about clones!!!!! What does it matter if the owner of clones are happy anyway???

If you want a clone......GET ONE.....if you don't want a clone.....DON'T.............SIMPLE!!!!

ive decided to stop going on now with the hole clone thing and this thread is kinda old
ignore what i said above, sorry for going on people! enjoy your KM's :)
