Hey guys, I'm looking for a budget 1/5 gasser for my son and I to get into the hobby... again, well its his first.. but I always liked the Baja and thought the hybrid would be good start for him, does anyone agree?
I have been looking some stuff up about them but don't see much reviews or vids on them. can anyone that might have had one or has one chime in?

The plan would be to buy the roller and maybe start him out with a g320 and Taylor side pipe and eventually work his way up to a Taylor 35. does anyone disagree with this? is the Taylor 35 too much for this platform?

any help would be great thanks..

Any smallbore engine should be ok in it. Of course cups and pins are your usual weak ones but from what I've seen they do decent for the price. The 35 is a good engine for it, realistically though most of the smallbores are extremely close in hp, rpm, etc.

I have a nice baja I just listed in the classifieds if you want to check it out also.

That is what I am putting in my much modified Baja right now , seems ideal without going big block.
I am just changing out some of the billet bits on mine for carbon to get the weight down a bit as well.
