I'm guessing this issue has been delt with before but having a tough time searching for it. Rpm's change when braking. Any idea what causes this. Has anyone had the same issue and solved it. Any help would be appreciated.

This happened to me on my Losi5, found the billet retainer for the throttle linkage was loose which moved the spring up on the linkage causing it to idle up when I hit the brakes. Moved it all back where it was supposed to be and tightened it up problem solved. If you're idling down make sure servo and linkage are not set too high which would cause idle to go down/ to normal when you apply brakes. Hope that helps and you get it sorted out.

sometimes a worn carb will be the culprit here. it is set up the same as usual and started doing this slowly over time?

what happens is the carb shafts gets worn and when you pull brake the slop lets the butterfly deviate a little causing the idle to reduce a little or enough to kill the motor depending on your lowend tune. 813 carbs are the worst about this.
