What kind of runtimes are you guys getting? I'm running 6S 5000mah and I'm getting about five minutes if I do all high speed passes. ten if I just cruise around. I have a cc1717 motor, 7.5" tall tires (trenchers). I'm looking at getting either four 3S 5000mah for series/parallel or two 6S 5000mah to run in parallel. I'd like some feedback on what battery configuration you guys are running.

I'm getting keen to get myself a brushless large scale. But 5 to 10minutes isn't much run time what run time does the stock XBE get. They seem expensive with Esc and batteries once you want more speed.

Well The default ESC cut off is set at 3.2V however when it shuts down the batts measure at 3.8 volts. I progressively lowered the cutoff to 2.6V. So my measured battery voltage is still 3.2. So now my run times are more like 15 to 20 minutes. What are you guys with hobby wing ESC's setting your low voltage cuttoff to. This is confirmed when I go to charge these with the hyperion showing 5 to 10% remaining capacity. My losi XXL has a MMM ESC and I have it set to 3.0 volts cut off which results in 3.2 measured.

I'm running 2 x 6s turnigy nano 5000mah batts getting about 35-40 mins, if you went with 4 x11.1v 5000mah you would have 20,000 mah that would give over an 1hr of run time...... ;)
Is that running the stock motor and Esc.

Just becareful. When you say measure 3.2, is that under load or just plugging into charger? only reason I ask because under load the voltage will be considerably lower then when not under load. You don't want to drain them below 3.0 volts or they may never charge again.

I'm sure it sounds a little scary to have the HW ESC set at 2.6. It interesting that it even goes that low. MMM's lowest setting is 3.0. I'm pretty careful runing it this way. For bigfol 4 6S batteries seems like a lot of weight and space required!

Running a couple of cycles I have reset the ESC to 2.8 volts. This results in 15 to 20% remaining charge as indicated by my charger. I'm happy with the run time. Gives the motor a chance to cool. Still a couple of 5S or 6S 4000 or 5000 in parallel would be cool!

so with running 5000 are they the 40c with the 70c bust. I run these and find the power good but run times short. I need to buy the program card and reset the voltage cut off. I have the hoddieywing and also the xe-run pro (shinny blue) will the same program card work for both?
