I forgot to mention that yesterday when running the TT in 2wd mode, I started doing donuts and when I released the throttle the car continued accelerating, so I had to turn the wheels again and have it do some more donuts, then I pressed the brake and after a few seconds it stopped.

I turned the engine off.

Then not happy with that, I restarted the engine and after a minute or so it did the same thing, only this time I had to send the car towards me, make it slide and was lucky to grab the kill switch ond turn it off....daring ahhhh?

Both times I had control over the steering but not on the gas.

very strange.

Sounds like the throttle servo is crapping out. Te factory servos should be replaced before starting up.

Ah man, you should have a engine kill switch in it. I have in all mine, it could save you having to replace the whole car.

It should be the first thing that is put into in a 5th scale even before the fuel.

You are running the stock t/b servo? It should be tirfed. Most of us run a 5646 HiTec.

I already ordered the kill switch and servos.

I have a Spectrum DX3S radio. How do you turn off the car using this radio?

One of the best and 1st things that should be done to any model with an extra channel. I just bought three for the models I have extra channels for. They are great for runaway and kinda cool to be able to use other then that. :)

I like getting to eliminate the stock shut off, I have had problems with dust and sand getting into the switch and when you pressed the button in it would not pop back out. I have removed the push buttons on all my models. There is no need for them anymore.

we have to as we are regulated by lsor rules that each car must have a manual engine cut switch clearly labelled and easy to use by the marshalls.

:(

a remote kill switch is optional, my advice to everyone is fit a throttle return spring as the standard carb spring is not strong enough to close it off if your servo craps out.

:D
