Runs with choke closed but not open.

Hi all, I am having issues with my truck (32cc) not running when I open the choke.

It runs and starts with the choke on but as soon as I open it, it dies. Also when I apply gas with choke on it dies.

I have a Walbro 1107 carb (factory settings) and an aluminum intake from Ddm. I also have the redact blue aluminum air filter and tuned pipe.

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Reset to factory setting (sometimes there are not properly set from factory) then proceed with start up instructions.

Is your gas tank cap vented?

Open the gas tank and try. If it runs fine, you got your culprit and you can do a search on the forum or google "gas tank venting".

I have the aluminum cap with the pin hole. I will try it out tonight after work with the cap off. Thanks!

Believe I found the culprit. Intake gasket appears toasted. I did however order the fuel tank vent kit as well as a turtle racing pull start w/ outerwear.



Will update after I get the gasket and vent kit.

Must have been running really lean to get that hot

Looks like I screwed the crab bolts into it. Upgrades the carb and air filter the screws may be too long now

Yep I remember having to shorten the bolts when I put the alloy inlet on

Bolts shortened and new gasket installed. Fired up on the very first pull!
