I'm new to 1/5 scale...I've run nitro for a while.

I was surprised how much grass / dirt gets sucked in the motor etc.

I did outerwear pull start and air filter...still had a lot of grass under / in the motor.

I guess the outerwear is not so good under the motor, with the drive shaft.

Looked into the "mesh mod" under motor screen.

Today I got an idea, I seen like e-revo with snow skin, a cover to keep out snow etc.

I got some Velcro and window screen I had left over....

I did like a body outerwear!

I put Velcro on the roll cage and on the side guards, I left the exhaust area open.

I ran in the grass for 1/2 tank till my stripped wheel was not usable.

NO GRASS UNDER MOTOR WOO HOO! and it stayed on well.

Easy to remove and put back on too.

I got new tires, just waiting on hubs.

If you open up a photobucket act (it's free), you can upload the pics into the photobucket. You can then copy the image link onto the body of the forum. It will show up on the forum as a photo.

Looks awsome and bet it helps alot with grass. These are like lawnmowers haha suck up all the grass

Cool, I see ya got the photobucket thing workin for ya. Your screen mod looks great. That will keep out all sorts of unwanted debris.

If only my hub adapers would get here...

Ordered hubs on the 3rd, tires on the 5th, tires were at my door Fri night.

Hubs STILL have not shipped yet...

is that plastic/fiberglass screen or is it aluminum?
Just plain old plastic window screen, like for screen doors etc...

I used Velcro and double stick tape.

I left it loose, but may neaten / tighten it up a bit.

I've run a few tanks and nothing in the car! still fine dust on outerwear filters.

But NO grass or rocks in the chassis!

No grass sucked into the motor...
