Hey Monster ---Good name for this weekend!!!! I have this motor and it is very strong and and with the right pipe it is rated (their number not mine) @ 9hp. No starting issues and runs great. I bought mine from DGI --http://www.dgiracing.com/engines/

If you are planning to use this motor on an HPI Baja there are a couple of mounting issues- nothing serious but things I didn't know and found out during the install.

How is the quality of materials used on your motor? I read some other threads after I posted this and seen some ugly looking cranks cases. Poor casting.

I have only seen my motor and the owner of DGI's motor and I think they are really nice quality. I haven't torn the motor down but the external is really nice. As I said it runs great.

Where are you on LI?--I am near Farmingdale University

I am in Centereach. Do you do any onroad racing? A group of us meet not far from you on Sunday mornings in Deer Park. I'm running a Marder w/ grp onroads til I pick up a sportsline.

I have 2 HPI bajas, FG Stadium truck and a Porsche sportline. Where in Deer Park by the train station?

Cool are you running tomorrow and can you shoot me an address? Not sure if I can get away but I'll give it a shot.

Absolutely. We start at 7am, well at least most of the guys do. I have trouble getting up that early. They blow off the lot and setup the track with tires and fire hoses. Nice and big track! There are some vids on youtube if you care to look. Just type deer park rc. With this possibly being the last weekend I think there should be a good 6-8 guys racing. PM coming

Oh ya there is an awesome sand/gravel pit with 100ft sand piles and tons of acreage so feel free to bring both on and off road if you'd like.
