Sealed Bearings VS Shielded Bearings

Has anyone tried sealed bearings on their Rc vehicles?


Was doing some research and it is said that the seal bearings will get hot due to the friction of the seal but it will do a much better job at keeping the fine dirt out.

Sealed bearings are better.

unless you drive onroad i would say sealed bearings all the way. they do get hot but not at the revs we use them. i checked the specs and revs for my car and the rating was more than they would ever reach on the car so i guess you are more than safe. all my bearing failures were from dirt in the shielded bearings.
