Self Build?

Hi, first of all I think that a production 1/5 scale r/c is out of the queston.

How hard would it be to build my own?
I could make it out of 1/2"-3/4" pvc tube probrally at the most,
I have made a simple cad design in google sketchup.

How would I go about adding the motor, It's a Homelite weedeater motor,
I was thinking of putting a bicycle sprocket on the outpit shaft and making a solid axle of aluminum. Then I was going to put a sprocket on the axle and connect them with a bicycle short chain.

Would this work?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

A number of guys have built there own large scale Rc's, one that comes to mind goes by the name Roofchopper. Search his threads and I am sure you will get the idea.
