Servo- What the......

when the power is off and the arm reset, then turn the power back on the servo arm takes a nose dive again. anyone have a clue as to the prob.
 
i'll check tomorrow, but unless the horn stripped it ran fine for about the first 10 min. then just forward and locked down.
 
Sounds like the failsafe. If you are using the one that came with the vehicle, round can file it. That will burn out the servo in less than a second. Make sure you have the wheels off the ground while setting up the EPA.
 
no failsafe, and im using the flysky gt3b with killer rc super bee, its the servo under the radio box and the other is fine
 
OK dumb question of the day!! how do you shut the failsafe down on the fs-gt3b. i think i seen it on the rec.
 
well from what i see its not the fail safe, i think the servo has crapped out. my next question is would the battery (6V.) handle (2) 5765 servos or should i just run 1?
 
It would handle both just fine. The Hitec should be a much more efficient servo. However, 1 can get the job done just fine.

It is as easy as just installing one and removing the extra link. It does give you the opportunity to install the larger battery box.

will the failsafe interfere with the kill switch? this is on a fly-sky 3 channel. the fail safe on the throttle is set to go to idle. everything checks out- all modes on the kill switch are correct- only thing left to do is a range check- i will do that with a spotting scope if theres nobody around to look at the car. oh- the failsafe is the one built into the reciever on the fly-sky.- not the one that comes factory with the car. opinions??
 
if it would be the failsafe on the fs rec. , why would it only affect the one steering servo under the battery box? when i unhooked it and ran the other steering and throttle servo they worked fine.
 
i have no guess. the reason for my question before - i had a runaway a while back- i just assume not go tru that agan if i can help it. what happened was the antenna wire that goes into the reciever broke off the printed circut board. near as i could figure, the antenna wire with its exposed solder connections shorted the reciever. - yes, the place on the recievers case- where the antenna wire goes tru- is. intended to be a strain relief. trouble is- its a loose fit- this puts all the strain on the circut board connection.- not good. you just need to remove the 2 small screws on the reciever case- gently pry the case apart on the end of the case where the antenna wire goes tru- apply a bit of shoe goo where the antenna wire straddles the reciever case- then assemble- let it cure.- all my recievers antenna wires had a loose fit.- i bet every one elses does too. silicone sealant is too soft, hot melt glue will not bond to the plastic case- antenna wire- i used good ol shoe goo.- goop whatever you wanna call it--
