Post up guys, To help give ideas for those that might be going and representing the Rampage in the biggest race yet, With the new MCD Ultimate on the Market. Us that are going have our work cut out for us. Maybe all you bashers can help us out with your vast shock and diff configure knowledge. Radio gear anything.

In my diffs I'm now running 7k up front and 5k rear (up from 3k). In my shocks I run 55wt front and 45wt rear. I've been liking this setup so far while running at a motocross track near my work and at a BMX track.

I have a completely different shock setup than most of you guys though. I'm running Baja front shock bodies all the way around, Phatdad 4.8's, Rampage pistons, and Rampage shock ends. Pretty much all I've seen from the others is they are running SS or Phatdad 6mm shafts with VVC inserts and SS pistons. I havn't tried this setup so I'm not too sure what I would run.

I would also like to add that 6mm shafts take up too much volume and make the shock perform poorly. My opinion is if you are gonna run the 6mm shafts at least get the GH front piggybacks for the Baja on all 4 corners for some volume compensation. I run em on my Baja and they are nice. A cheap alternative to running $180 remotes although IMO the remotes are top notch.

Are you running an MT or TTm basically what i'm asking is are you running factory meats or another combo?

Stock TT rims and tires. I tried running 5B rims and Hostile MX's but the TT's stock setup is much lighter and hooks up well.

Thanks man. I think it's really starting to run well now. I need to get my ole Baja crew together again for a meet so I can bust out the Rampage and commit some...

BAJACIDE!

On a serious note. Here's a vid right after breakin with a stock 28.5, xCan, running 10k up front and 7k in the rear. To much push for my tastes but the drift action was awesome. I really like the 7k front and 3-5k rear combo for a race setup though. Still 10k/7k runs really well too.

I'll miss the sound of that XCan :(

I feel like this is a question that involves a ton of opinion...and little factuall base... I like having light oil in the shocks... 45 or less... the terrain i run on is rough and the ability to absorb the bumps works in my favor...

i also feel like allowing the suspension to sag under load cause the trucks great weight to shift and allows the tires to "dig in" instead of "skating" over the surface...

i even run my nitro 4x4's really mushy, i think it helps...

thats just me though :D

im running 100k in the rear and 100k in the front... i do not like this setup to be honest (yet im to lazy to change it till it breaks)... my truck pushes alot... BUT i does AWSOME in smoe lose dirt... DRIFTOOOO!!! lmao...

Some good info here. Looks lie there is going to be a tire rule if we run Monster Truck class we will not be able to run Baja Rear tires. What kind of hook up do the new MCD ultimates have? Will the center diff work in the Rampage from the MCD?

I'm running the bajampage phatdads with ramtech 20% springs and hpi 40wt in all 4...they seem to work real good, i got 50000 front and rear with the MT tires...overall a pretty sweet setup, might try 50wt in the rear
