I know this may sound really dumb!
Just got my Used FG Baja & i just can't seem to see an easy way to remove the body shell!
1sty i removed the shell's nuts & Bolts whilst it was still on, difficult! then i took off the rollcage, & now its V hard to get back on, without stripping it all down!!
There MUST be an easier way???

Help!!!

Look at the alu external roll cage, the front most part has 2 body clips hidded in the front suspension. Remove thease. You can then pull the front of the external roll cage verticaly upwards and then forwards to seperate it from teh rest of the roll cage.

Body should then come off.

you are looking at 10 body clips in total (2 on roll cage, 6 on body, 2 on wing)

I'll post an image this evening if you are still having issues (must confess I did exactly the same thing in my initial excitement when I opened the box).

Thanks Brawn!
I went to to local hobbystores & asked them today for a demonstation. Feel i right twit now!
The Guy had left the R pins off, so i didn't notice the front bars came off!
Mine does take some doing to get them back in, vert stiff!
I'm sure i'll get the knack soon!

I never got the knack of the front clips. a few high speed (and very spectacular) grip-roll incidents later and the outer cage was trashed (along with the wing) so I don't need to worry about it any more :)

I tried tweeking the rear wheel chamber and toe in but still got far too much grip-roll, and have got myself a rear anti-roll bar now. Seems to have done the trick, but I find it slides a bit much now, I could realy do with a slightly softer one.

Its so hard to get the right setup, just depends on where your bashing & what you want i spose! might try the anti-roll bar, are there different strenghts?
I have just downloaded the whole parts list, oh dear, i feel the wallet getting lighter by the minute!!

yeah, there's different thickness bars, no idea what mine is as I got it off flea bay and never measured it. works a treat though.

just whatever you do don't scroll through rc-car-online.de as you'll be very poor very quickly.......

Hi Brawn,
Got hold of a rear rollbar from ebay, not sure what size, but should do the job.
Went to fit my hitec 5745mg & its too small for the RACE alloy servo tray i bought for my MT! I'll have to make up another bracket to make it fit! or buy another one & have twice the power/strenght! but expensive solution.
Do you think i should convert the MT or the Baja to 4WD?
I've put my reasons on the 4WD thread above, please have a read & give me your opinion!
Cheers Bud.
