Shock boots sticking?

Upgraded the front shocks on my OG Baja to the VVC/HDs and noticed that with the thicker shafts the boots are getting stuck on compression. Are folks doing something to prevent this?
 
i've always had an annoyance about shock boots fella,
i mostly do away with em and just keep the shocks clean after a bash etc,
if you wanted sommat to cover em though just do away with the boots and get some shock socks to over the whole spring (y)
