Shock oil in diff?

Can you use shock oil in the diffs or is that a bad idea. Just curious . And is 30k diff oil good for the diffs
 
I would just stick to diff oil in the diffs to be safe (it's fairly cheap). As far as weight goes depending what your driving style and conditions are. I would run 30 in the center if not heavier, and lighter in front and back. You should just pick up a few of each weight. What I would like you might hate, just need to find what works best in your conditions are Imo.

I put 30k in the rear and I used 100wt shock oil in the front I'll see how that works, it feels good
 
I figured you had some but the shock oil seems fine and if not I'll change it out
