Shock oil

I was going to get 5t shocks but changed my mind for now. I ordered the ddm hd springs and was wondering about the shock oil itself. I saw some older threads with some guys saying use 7000 diff fluid. What’s everyone’s take? I just want some more spring in them lol.

Sorry mate, I went the 5ive t rout so long ago I couldnt tell you what I ran in them. 21bb would be the one to ask I would say.

I have the hd springs and stock shocks. Im either not a die hard person or simply don't care. The OEM shocks are fine for me.

My issue was the HD springs were too heavy of a rate, and the rebound sucked unless you ran really heavy fluid, after a jump. Too heavy a fluid breaks the pistons. There is or was an aftermarket piston that allowed you to run normal shock weight fluid, but was (also) limited to lighter weight fluids. The stock 5ive t shocks fixed all that. Buggie still flys like a brick but lands like a cat. If your not worried about jumping it, or worried that it will twerk like hell if it lands right, then the stock shocks work ok.

That's why I put limit straps on my two 5t's. I know sooner or later the cartwheel is coming...lol.Hopefully they limit damage.

Naw it's over rated. I've tumbled both my dbxl and my l5b well over 100 yards. They hold up like a champ. Hell I just did one hell of an uotesit back spring counter clockwise wheelie triple flip with my l5b yesterday. Waist I had it on video it was sweet lol
