Hello, I have a 1.0 5t with one leaky front shock due to a torn bladder seal. I cannot find this part anywhere. Through my research, I have found that the updated gold caps for the 2.0 will work (which do not use the same bladder), but I see that these are discontinued also. I live in Germany (US citizen) but this shouldn't matter. It's a shame that this little rubber part is stopping me in my tracks like this. Any advice?

I rebuilt some of my 5t 1.o shocks with rovan slt buggy shock parts. They are identical to 30 degree north shocks also. Only difference is the shock shaft on the 30degree north the bottom is eye is not threaded, the eye is pressed on

Did you thread the shaft like you were thinking about doing?

Thank you, but I cannot find the bladders for those either. I think that I have to buy all new shocks for a 5 cent part. I tried regular o-rings, but the pressure blew the bottom seal out because you cannot completely bleed out the excess oil when sealing the cap - I guess that is what the bladder is for: so that the little pocket of air above the bladder will absorb the pressure instead of blowing the seals out.

Im not sure if i copied that link correctly but it appears you might be able to eliminate the bladders in a 1.0 shock?

You don't "have" to run bladders. Set them up Emulsion style.and run them until you can find bladders. You may like how they feel comparsd to a bladder shock.
I tried and they will not stop leaking from the small bleed hole. No matter how tight I get the cap. Now I need the red o-rings and I cannot find those either. I doubt that I'll ever be able to find these simple parts - it's a shame.

They leak from the bleed hole when I try that. Even with the bladder, it's almost impossible to get the shocks not to leak a bit through the bleed hole.

Doesn't the hole have to be plugged if you run without the bladder? Or maybe pick up a 30dn front shock and use it or strip it for parts.
