How far down are you guys screwing the shock spring retaining collars down? The higher the collar, the softer the suspension. Correct? Further down the tighter the suspension.Right? So what do you feel is the best place for jumping.

Hope this made sense:o

all depends on what shock oils you run really. i run 55 in the back and 45 up front on my mt. pretty heavy. my front collors are about 5 threads down on the front and rears are about 15 threads down(from top).. gives a nice amount of droop, but still wont bottom out. but be carefull if your runiing stock shafts. the heaveir oil puts a good amount of stress on the shaft ends.

what weight are you running?

just saw your other post: running hd shafts.. nice!!

running the stock 40 wt the shocks came with in rear and 35w in front. It bottoms out on big jumps but not small ones that get it 2-3feet off the ground.

i wasnt really sure what the stock shock wait was. are you sure its forty? mine looked like 5..LOL. you might see good resoults with running 45 in the back. it might have some ill effects on the front making it kindo squishy.

Is anyone running the upgraded shocks? I wonder how they perform?
i don't have them..(yet:D).. i think the ressy's have a more noticable effect with the smaller tires. still same shock shaft.. but for the price? cant beat it. i want to throw some on my new tt and see how they REALLY work.. i think python has them for 54 a set

kdfi what springs you got?? I run the bajampage kits with the ramtech 20% springs and hpi 40wt...it handles big jumps without bottoming and yet not too stiff for general use.

Screwing down the collars only adjusts preload/ride height it wont make your shocks stiffer only different springs can do that.

Moo,

I am using the ramp upgrade kit springs. 40wt in the rear & 35 up front. Took it out today and it bottoms out. I even broke a front lower arm where the arm mounting pin goes through. Broke the front body mount too,oh well. Do you have a part number for the ramtech springs & where did you get them?

thx
