which nutech shocks fit best, the smaller tb2 ones or the newer larger mt/tb3 shocks?? and also,,, I believe you will run front shocks all the way around

Both can be mounted up. I haven't heard of fitment issues on either. I believe both fronts and rears are used.

I run nutechs on my xsc just use the tb2's both fronts and rears also just an fyi its cheaper to buy all the parts seperately and buld them urself plus that wag u can get the threaded shock bodies

parts in stock

nutech has shock parts in stock,,,,,,,saw lots of people with the mt/tb3 big bores on it,, obeasts car for example,,,,, so I went over to nutech,,, about 2 hours from me,, and bought 4 complete sets of fronts with orig and opinional front spring,,,, and some spares for it,,, ill post pics soon,, they are huge,,,,, about 125 for 4 shocks with some spare parts,, ,also bought tb2 lower shock mount kits if need a slightly shorter shock,, I think the shocks are similar in length to the rears,,, still haven't assembled yet,,,, off to bed,,, work early in morning,,,,

the lower mounts that screw onto the end of the shock shaft and mount to the a-arm.. they are longer on the mt/tb3 and I used them on the rear,,,, the shorter ones are from there tb2,,, and I used them on the front shocks,,,i bought a couple extra tb2 parts kit to get the shorter lower screw on mounts,, which were $4.08 a piece,,,, parts number 057513

57655: optional soft front springs

57656: optional soft rear springs

57680: replacement alloy upper ball end

58529: replacement bladde

non nutech parts that will fit these shocks

dark soul shock orings

hpi Baja springs- these r a tight on the spring perches but do fit use the front springs for rear shocks and the lower section of rear springs as fronts on the nutechs. I have been told that the optional nutech soft srings r still very stiff.. even more than the ddm hd springs for the bajas.

currently the stock nutech pistons are pretty loose in the shock bore adding a lot of blow by but I am working with a couple others on some otions for this alsothey only have 4 hole pistons so if u want 2 or 3 hole just use a soldering iron to melt the desired number of holes shut.

my current setup is below although my truck is a lil heavier than most it jumps and lands well

fronts

nutech soft springs

2 hole pistons

42.5wt associated shock oil

2mm preload

rears

nutech soft springs

2hole pistons

70wt associated shock oil

13mm preload

I also turned the lower shock mounts on the redcat around to better fit the nutech shocks

a few pics, sorry deleted the ones I had up cleaning old posts
