Here's a couple of my rides
First: This is a Copagnucci 1/8 gasoline car (I know iit's not a LS car but it's a gasoline model none the less)
Second my MCD Baja1000 Pro Evo III with some before and after pics after making wheel wells and transmission cover.
Thread will be updated along the way with more pics.

Info on the Compagnucci http://www.rcgalleri.dk/gal_visbil.aspx?ID=30271&ipc=103158 with google translate you shoud be able to translate the info written in danish to english.

The body for the compagnucci is available in red and yellow but not in clear sadly :( so if one was to paint it would have to be an outside job and it would scratch up real quick...

You can get the Compagnucci cars on eBay or from Mecoa in california or directly from Compagnucci in Italy

The 1/8th gasser is a great idea. Looking at the site you linked to, I saw a price of 740,83 euros. I did a currency conversion and found that to be USD equivelant to over $900.00! That is a bit steep....don't ya think? We are spending about that for 1/5 and 1/4 scale here in the states. I think if I were going to spend the money, I would rather have the larger scale.

The site also mentioned that there is no pull start. It mentioned something about just shoveing the model in the direction you want it to go. How does that work?
I am assuming the drive wheels are turning over the engine. That would suggest that there is no clutch or way of disengaging the drive wheels. That seems awkward and dangerous for things like tuning and run adjustments.

Could you please give a bit more info? I am curious. There has to be something to this or it would not be profitable to manufacture. More please. :w00t:

For those of you in the US you can look at this site and contact them for more detail http://www.mecoa.com/compagnucci/index.htm There used to be a seller in Kentucky as well that had Nascar version of it but they went out of business unfortunately. Darn shame too as you could have your fave race team custom made.
I have one of those but it's currently parked at a friends place in the US but it's a Dodge Charger Kasey Kahne when he was driving for Dodge No. 9 white with dual red striping running over the hood, roof and boot (i'll post pics of it when i get a chance if you like) it has Kasey's signature on it that's why i had to have it LOL (beat that Billy badass:lol:)

As for starting the engine when cold you use a powerdrill with a socket bit on it and when it's warm it works like a 1/1 car you can jumpstart it.

I must admit i have not ran it more than couple of times, i plan to give it a couple of LiFe packs as it's born with dual 4AA cells NiCd 1 pack for the ignition system and 1 pack for radio gear. but they are far too weak due to they are old and has virtually no power left in them. I agree they are rather expensive but you can as i have get them off eBay

Sometimes there's several of them righ now just the one i'm linking to above.
