Shrink wrapping battery packs?

hi guys,

ok i have a battery pack that is in need of some new shrink wrap, (theres dirt/grit stuck inside the shrink wrap) so i want to take off the old shrink wrap, give the pack a clean & then re-wrap with some new shrink wrap.

Ive never done it before so need some tips on best way of doing it & is there different grades of shrink wrap etc? if so which is best one to buy, any links appreciated (UK only please) the pack i have a 6v sub C Pack like the 1 pictured below
