side to side crank play

i bought a spare KM engine off ebay and theres quite bit of side to side crank play between the case halfs my extra 23cc engine has none. is this normal or is there crank shims missing. by the looks of the screws its been apart. ive looked at the CY engine breakdown on DDM site but that doesn't show any shims. i do realize its a CY breakdown and not KM i figured theyde be similar thanx steve
 
well the km will not be shimmed, most likely not a big issue but up to you if you want to add them, the cy engines also have some play, i just re-ringed a 26cc cy for one of my clients and noticed the play in that but since the engine has already been run that way since day one, i don't see it being a big issue on a plain stock engine, if you where dealing with a modded engine then i would look into eleminating the slop.
