It does work. Easy custom mod.

I've seen pantyhose used also.

I prefer the fishnet stockings but that doesn't work so well. JK LOL

back in my manwhore days I could have found them all over the house... i miss those days.... hah a hah

That seems like it would be a good idea though, a mesh cover to keep grass out that surrounds the vehicle under the body...

im going to be using this "fine stainless steel wire cloth(mesh)"to do all my airflow filters on the engine, my only concern is it might become blocked with dust and dirt quickly as it is so fine(depending on what cloth/mesh u use), so it would be a thing to keep an eye on if you used it

briliant stuff tho!!! we use it at work for highspeed filter systems

Well i was running the XT yesterday on freshly mowed grass. Long story short i got tons of grass on my flywheel!! My question is how hard is it to take off the engine so i can put an outerwear cover on the flywheel???
I used window screen and velcro, to screen 90% of the car.I used velcro to hold the mesh to the rock gaurds/body sides. I have run a few tanks, and NO grass or rock in the car!

I like that stainless steel mesh... that stuff looks nice. Might have to look into a custom cover that snaps down over the body with that stuff... that would be great.

Or I could just quit being lazy and clean my trucks I guess... ah ha ha

yeh its wicked stuff, when i first saw/felt it, i couldnt achally belive it was metal, it did feel like cloth (till the edge cut me lol:rolleyes:)

im going to be lining the inside of my pullstart cover with it, and using metal putty to stick some to the crankcase and cover any little nooks and cranys air gets sucked into

its pritty cheap stuff aswell for the amount you would need

i don't mind cleaning my truck :) but i don't like cleaning the engine

there was a website i found when i was looking for parts to fix my XSC and it had a full shroud with a mini airfilter on it, and it was the only place air was going in. If i find it again ill link it here, it was pretty sick looking.

oooo didnt think about the filter....ill message DDM and see if he can confirm whether it fits XSC or not
