On FG MT#2 running it at the park yesterday. It boggs really bad on takeoff and have tried factory setting on the carb but to make it run decent the LSN has to be down to less than one turn out and the HSN has to be about three turns out.

one of my motors recantly did simular. it started to get slugish off the line, then got really bad. just burping an farting till the pipe kicked on. no amount of tuning would help it. checked for air leaks in the feild(ie: fuel line, head gaskit, carb) pulled the head and found this. this motor as about 8 gallons on it.

I have seen that before.

I would pop the head off and take a look. I would think if you had an air leak it would have a sporadic idle or lean, but you are leaning the low out to 1 and richening the H to 3. After so many tuns there is no richening anymore on the H anyhow. Your sure the choke is fully disengaging?

Took it apart. The piston looks OK but the cylinder has several scratches in it. It was very low on compression. I have a spare 34mm head and piston. Guess I will get a new ring and some gaskets and be ready to go again.
