Can you fit other body shells on a baja 5t?

Like MCD Baja 1000 CHEVY ProTruck Body?

Ford F150 Monster Truck Body?

MCD Monster Truck Body?

Pic's below and people who own a 5t and a FG, MCD can you post
a pic of the shells besides each other, its so i can see the sizes.

Plus there a hell of alot cheaper than the 5t shells!

Thanks
Andy :)

They do fibreglass shells on ebay for most models but I haven't looked to see if they do the 5t shells. I know the are about £25-£30 for the FG 1s so might be worth a look.

we trial fitted wagons mcd baja 1000 shell on to a mates km baja and it wasnt a mile away from being spot on but like i said we only put it over the baja just to see if it could be done plus with the mcd shell the arches can be trimmed up to suit i would say its possible mate il get wagon to measure his shell when i see him

There is a MK1 Ford Escort that has been purposly made for the Baja and looks superb, bit pricey so I'll have to start saving up for a few days.

While I would love to love that Escort, I am disappointed that he hasn't nailed the shape properly... I think it looks a bit boxy compared to the full-size one. That would stop me buying it.

I think the way he made it says it all... two sides joined by flat sections. Unfortunately he has also made the side windows too small, which adds to the sightly wrong look overall. I reckon that 1/5th scale is so big that accuracy cannot by compromises. All you need to do is look at the Carrosserie section on Yankee to see how good accurate scale looks. It seems that all their bodies put scale accuracy first...

It is such a shame with that Escort body, because he got close, and that last bit would have made it a real winner.

I don't think the wheel arches look too bad, as long as the cut outs for the wheels are made big enough.. I have seen full-size Escorts with flared guards like that

if your looking for a Trouphy Truck body, the Woodster Lids (has 2 now) are very very nice, for the low cost of them.

he just released a newer Wide TT body thats just fn Crankin. and the price is quite acceptional considering.
