SmokeScream's Dune Runner 4X4

here is my dune runner. it has been a pretty good unit, i've had it for a year or so now and the only thing that ever broke was a trans gear pin.


for mods/upgrades it has x-can pipe, tgn air filter/velocity stack, modded proline 5b desert rat boby, gas cap vent mod, dark soul 5b rear axle extenders (all 4 corners) and proline 5b rear desperado wheels with bowties (all 4).


i think the rear tires all around looks better than the narrow buggy fronts. it has been stalling on me when its hot lately. i haven't figured that out yet.

Looks awesome, dude. If it stalls while it's warm, you might have an air leak.

thanks. i am going to look at carb/intake gaskets. anywhere else to check?

That's usually where air leaks occur. I've seen a few cases where it was just a loose spark plug. So, it couldn't hurt to check that out.

Thanks guys. I'm really liking the rear tires in the front. I think it looks better. I found a ripped gasket between the intake manifold and cyl head. So I'm guessing that's my stalling problem.

I like tbe look of the rears all the way around I think I might give that a shot now. With wider tires in front will it turn less? Will have more traction being 4 wheel drive tho
