probably, being realistic, about 2 weeks before i'll get it running but gets closer every day

awaiting yet more steel to show up so tinkered with a bit of body work and grill. still have to trim the hood sides then will rivet on lower fenders and weld on upper part in steel off frame hangers, then i can hinge the hood for easy pullstart, choke access
i've a sheet of carbon for inner body panels zip tied on and bottom i'll weld on thin steel sheet.. side and rear quarters will be alu panels and back will be a seperate piece of slightly thicker gauge....same as grill...i'll cut out slots but paint on headlights...still undecided as to body paint scheme...it'll come to me once the frame is done...also have to cut out a hole for a hood scoop to clear the plugs

hopefully start the final build by Sunday

That build is looking crazy cool will be awsome to see it painted up ans finished. Very nice work

i plan on shoogooing some pieces of outerwears over the tone vent holes to keep the worst of the crud out.

doesn't look like i've done much over the last week, been a few hrs here and there due to work but after a what seemed like yrs hrs of tedious cutting, filing, drilling body mount tabs, th servo,rx box and gopro mounts, hood hinges, welded on the floor pan, front fender mounts etc etc...it's finally ready to clean and paint.

frame is in primer, i'll get the axles and link bars primed tomorrow and first top coat on the frame
have to rustle up some limiting straps and will figure bump stops when the axles are bolted back on
still have to work on the tires too but they shouldn't take too long, hope to fire it up and give it a shakedown run at the weekend

and now it's green, just got done with the second complete coat on everything, real pain trying to get a rattle can inside all the nooks and crannies

after the first coat...i missed a few spots i touched up this morning

i'll bring it indoors and bake this by the woodstove tonight so should be able to start the assembly tomorrow afternoon.
in foff tradition the beast now has a name, my buddy Scott from Vancouver hobbies came up with it...a brilliant play on words..will be revealed later:p

i don't think the paint will last long but it'll look good once before i run it..:)

just about got the innards done, got spark once i'd got a good ground..so once it's plumbed for fuel and it'll be ready to fire, then i'll finish off the body work and start on the tires

i think those tires are destined for destruction on some tarmac :D, wonder how long they'll last..

itching to weigh this...on days when i fell weak it seems like it weighs 50lb, other days feels like 35...
