Looking better all the time!

What does "kill switch in the ETC" mean?

If I ever get that far with mine, I am going to want double redundant kill switches. An electronic fail safe and a mechanical switch maybe.

Can you recommend a radio that can have throttle, steering, brakes and kill, all on different channels with programmable endpoints.

Cheers,

Kevin

Al, filters are on the side they'll still see dirt and sand from the front tire but should be ok

@kustom the etc was for servos, rx.
i use the built in failsafe in my handset and killerrc kill switches

futaba pk4 or any 4 channel radio will have everything you need, if you're not going to mix anything then youonly need 3ch ...
i use a nomadio react but they are now, unfortunately, very much discontinued...i wish they'd sold the rights to their system

oh and i weighed it yesterday:eek: without body and big tires....48lb (21.8kg) so with fuel and tires should be 53lb...about 9lb over what i ideally wanted but it is what it is

so grill and steering, finish the tires, limiting straps and hood latches should have it finished

It looks fast even when it's standing still. = bodywork has good proportions to itself and the panels enhance each other visually.

thanks guys, it actually turned out real close to my original sketches and what i had in my noggin, pretty pleased with the outcome but the proof is in the pudding, it needs to go better than it looks.

steering upgrade about done, just the holes to drill for lock nipples and to attach arm to the pulley wheel i turned up.
the new cable is near twice the diameter of the old stuff with way bigger end nipples, should hold up now

so about an hr of buggering around in the morning and it's time for it's shakedown run...quick 10min blast around the yard to get some heat in it, let it cool and tune it for some tire shredding power...i'll make sure to charge the gopro and a hand held and see how long it takes to destroy those little tires:D...just limiting straps and tires left to do and i can hit that hill and hopefully finally get up over the top with this

we had one snowfall before xmas and a sprinkle couple of weeks ago that lasted about 1/2day...we get little snow where i am on Vancouver Island which is good cos i hate snow, useless crap..we get more clouds and rain in winter like uk...last weekend was 20C and sunny..today is damp and cloudy
