well, i got it all done, steering worked a treat on the bench...as soon as i put it on the ground no steering...my tonegawa is feeble...looks like the motor is shot...speed is ok and works fine with no load but i can stall it with my hand, can't even do that with a puny, by comparison, rhino/5755...
so have shot Ian Oddie an email in the hope he can repair this for me...i could use a stock ps050 but will be sacrificing speed and power...
it was on the ground ready to gas up and start it..bugger!!
looks like it'll be at least a couple of weeks before i can run this now...totally bleedin gutted...

could wait no longer...had to start it, rear drive shaft is out, went to weld it up and ran out of co2, just as well or i'd have nailed it across the yard without steering...temptation would be too much...

sounds awesome, can't wait to hear it when it's on the pipes, going to scream very loudly...come on servo

OMG DUDE!!! That bad boy sounds down right nasty :D love that!!! Did you get your servo back yet and in?

not yet...will still be on it's out lap, it should get to Ian in the next day or so...earliest i foresee getting it back is a week on Friday..planes take 10hrs to fly from here to the UK, unfortunately it seems postal services are still using pigeons..and to express ship you may as well be buying the whole plane it's so expensive..

servo finally arrived and should be done by now and in the mail monday...next day delivery royal mail to Canada 50quid or 75bucks, for me to send it 2-3 day express would have been 176bucks by Canada post...hmmm, i knew canada post were a rip off but damn...
so will have the servo ready for next week end when it's having it's first visit to the hill

been working on the tires, all rubbed down, start gluing paddles tomorrow

everybody meet "ClimbmaX" , it's pretty much all done bar limiting straps...took it for a spin with the little wheels on today...steers great, hits wot instantly and just stands still spinning:D geared nice and low so should have plenty of power to spin the big meats up no problem, just have to tune it tomorrow and then to the hill, Scott from Vancouver hobbies and Clayton from Vertigo performance will be there for it's maiden run and to get it on film...we'll have video from onboard, on ground and aerial:w00t: should make for a good movie

it wont look like this again;)

help mooman

:(:(i picked up a ring a pinion ring gear 50072 and has 4 large holes in it measures 2.185 this right 30 tooth pinion .940 11 tooth. yours doesn
't sem to have holes in it seems like it would weaken it.i can
't find a spool for it i think im looking for something that doesn
't exits or doing something wrong any help would sure be appreciated

thanks doug the meat head

the diff gears i'm using in my axles are the centre diff spools, 30t 50073 with 10t pinion50074, they don't fit in the fr/rear diffs on the rampage. the ring gear mounts on the shaft 50033

so i took it out to the hill, first visit i snapped the hubs off both rear axleshafts, i'd ground too much weld away...oops, quick fix and back to the hill for another go

just about finished the v2 transfer gear/brake arrangement which will, hopefully, stop any further issues...
