solo engine HELP !

Hi
got a truck off ebay went to pick it up sat and the send the day cleaning it and trying to make it start i got it started now and i would like to know what engine it is as its biger that my 23cc fg marders engine on the case it says solo type 108 and 11241 ???? what dose this mean if you can help me plz do i don't know if its 23cc,26cc,28cc
if you can help me plz it will be good thanks

The Solo is a very very very old, used in FG around the same time or just before the zenoah G2d which is again a very old engine (with 2 piston rings). I could only guess at this but I'd say it would be a 23cc and while it may still work to a fashion, there are far better engines out there for the money. There is not a lot between CY and Zenoah these days so give it some thought.

p.s just for info, if it's a race truck rather than an MT you have then FG M1 tyres on the front and S1 on the rears are the best combination on most tarmac surfaces for you once you've warmed them up.
 
thanks and i got the truck off ebay for £100 so :) got it a good price and it has been in 100s of races and i just go the engine to start and needs a good clean and a bit of tlc then it will be back to nice and clean and reddy to race :) but the solo engins got a big spark plug and got 1 piston right i thing :S not sure i have a look tomoz :)
 
more than likely will be a 23cc, i cant say ive heard of a solo engine bigger than that. the solo is actually a pretty decent engine, one of the guy i run with has one in his semi and it goes pretty good. the biggest downside to the solo engines is that they are old and long out of production so parts are getting scarce. if the thing runs ok id run it till it dies or till you want more power, then go with a zenoah g240.
 
yhyh i got somehitng like that in my marder or somehting lool and i would race but like im 17 and i live in north london so i don't think there is somewhere to race near to me but i would like to do the buggys as i have marder i have modded with alot + rollcage its a on road car with marder set up :) and buggy stuff :)
