Was playing around with the chimera and I made a couple of changes. I removed the rear wing and used a rear bumper from a traxxas slash. The top two screws fit perfectly into the stock cage. The bottom screws I had to drill into the cage. Then just put a stock tire right where the wing mounted. I think it looks kinda cool. Reminds me of something you see in the baja 1000.

I'm digging that ,but the tire won't work with the gas version
 
I am currently working on a spare tire mount also. Nothing I'm happy with yet. I plan on leaving my wing on. (It's actually my kids Chimera)

Did you make a tire mount yet? Looks like it's just sit'n there.
 
Just sittin there. Took one off the front. Have a set of rovan black beadlocks with trencher clones on their way to replace the stockers. Also loking for a castle 1717 or XO-1 motor to replace the stock 980kv.

Yeah, I ordered a set of clear bodypanels and painted them gunmetal grey.
 
I need to see how the motor temps hold up with the larger tires, but I'll probably end up swapping the motor and esc for a 56mm motor and castle xl-2. Or mightntry to run the 5692(1340kv) with the stock esc on 6s.
