ok heres my deal. Got out of 1/5th scale for a long while. got boring dealing wih all the unavailability of parts, no power and just didnt have the WOW factor. Now considering getting back in. So if you please. Which is the better choice. Mt or Xt? Similarities? Differences? Pros&cons? Leaning toward the mtv3 but don't wanna gt stuck with something I cant get parts for. Thank you everyone for you input.

MT all the way....The WOW factor is there when you get it home, and it gets better and better .... :D ...read up on other threads...

The Xt from what I have read is the newer truck of the two,but from watching a couple guys at my local hobby shop run stock mts and xts.I noticed the xt was faster even though it lacks the ground clearance of the mt.It also handled better, sort of flat track style instead of monster truck style. It seemed to give the 5ts a decent run on the little dirt bike track as well.Plus I just saw on Kershaw Designs website they make 17mm and 23mm wheel adapters so wheel and tire choices have opened up.That's why I bought an XT.

MT, BIG and heavy, great basher and awesome awe factor.

XT, newer design, lighter, handles better, more track oriented, less ground clearance, also great for just bashing.

there's a nice, well built XT in the f/s section right now for a great price :D

it's really all about what you like and want, both are great choices.

If you learn to work on the engines you can search the internet for pull off parts- unused topends- crankshafts- builders sell these for little money- I bought a 2 bolt top end- complete, just needs a 6 dollar piston ring- .50 cent piston circlips for $25.00. Once you learn to build-tune your own engines, its less stressful to run the dogs off the truck-car cause you just repair- build on your own motors. It works for me!!

How much for the xt if i drive you to Florida?..lol...

I too vote for the MT, but I'm a bit biased as I have an MT and not an XT. It really depends on what you're planning to use it for. If you want speed and handling, XT. If you want a great backyard basher that will run over anything in its way, the MT.

Thanks for the input everyone. I think I agree. The mt seems to be a better choice. I know I couldve spent forever digging through posts but Ive got things to do. So sorry about that.

I have them all, run the XT more. But that's only cause I don't have another set of hands to run the MT at the same time,lol...........
