So someone posted a link in the 2wd forum to hispeedmodel.com so i was bored and clicked on it and noticed some new alloy parts for the rampage.

First off there is some gunmetal looking parts on the "Fully Upgradeable Skeleton" (Rampage MT)

Then there are some beefier front and rear top plate, beefier front brace, lower alloy arms front and rear that look completely different, the center alloy diff carrier pieces look different, fully enclosed wheel nuts, some type of shock top cap savers and it looks like servo plates modified to fit other brands but I can't tell for sure, same with the shock tower looks different but i can't put my finger on it.

Check out this link for the different looking parts:

Interesting.

Yah looks like a few beefier parts like you pointed out, is that gear plate assembly like the one Kryptonite received? part #050109

I think they are showing the stock gear plate with the steel gears on it. Also, the shock tower has the same outline but it alot more cutout.

You're a dealer can you get any of this new stuff?

Well I was hoping Rob would 'have redcat put an order in' like he stated but nothing came of it. I figured that the demand was not there so they never bothered....

Netal gears have been in stock for a long time. No one that has bought Metal Gears from Redcat or RampageHopUps has every complained to me.

I'm not going to put an order in for something that will sit on the shelf. If you are in Canada send Gas Jocky a mail and he can request them.

Aftermarket support does suck for Redcat, but I knew that before I bought it. Most of the aftermarket stuff available isn't completely necessary to have a decent R/C. If I want something for my MT, I'll try to make it. I think that's the kind of attitude you need when you get into the 1/5th scale scene. You kinda need to be prepared for a challenge, be it with factory support or aftermarket support.

There should be more Aftermarket support by now. I was thinking that with the new ramps coming out what is going to happen to the ones we have now.

What do you expect to happen to the thousands of Rampages out there? FG has been making the same model for 20 years and people still buy and sell them new and used.
