having a hard time making my decision. i want to get the new dom pipe for the tt, but am thinking that i should just go for a better mill instead. would be cheaper. but i never spring for a good pipe and really want one, but i think i would get more out of a killer ported and stroked headkit and carb. but if i do that i will never get a pipe. i have about $200 or more in rc funds. i need some shock shafts but after 3 days of searching still cant make up my mind. i need to make a decision tonight so help quickly
 
get the pipe, bolt it on the tt and break things... just show us the video. :D


the pipe will compliment any other engine mods you do in the future, might as well start there. plus it's just cool.


you have the budget for the pipe now, get it. the headkit is cheaper and will be easier to swing later.

ordered the side dom in BLACK and 3 sets of 6mm hpi shafts and drive hub pins


i really wanted to order from python but he only has the 4mm shock shafts.


i allready have enough mints!!
 
3 posts same time? Well I think you will love that pipe. I am honest with my wife sometime's too, I think it makes for a healthy relationship. I am so complicated I don't even know what is happening next. lol
 
i have the 77dom on my mt and it's killer, but when I get my tt it'll get the side dom or the vrc when it's available.

i don't like that pipe. im sure its great but i don't like the exit position and its a modded 5b pipe. plus no BLACK. it MUST be black.. this pipe was designed for the redcat using a redcat as a test dummy by profesional "pipe" guys. im not sure if the 77dom pipes were really tested by anyone other then the buyer.. and plus its for the tt. my mt has an X-can wich isnt the best but it serves its purpose with the mill i have
 
I understand, I just can't see how anyone would design a side pipe that sticks out of the shell...just looks ghetto. I understand your concern though.

Yup! It's insane, excellent power all the way through the rpm's. My buddys MT was pulling wheelies with a ONB RP 28.5 and that pipe.

i don't like the looks of the side pipes myself. very out odf scale. i sacrifec power with the X-can on my mt, but want to try something else for the tt


and i think KUN114 has a tgn. pipe is supoer sick. was my second choice, but the black got me

The DOM Mid mount I do has been tested. The length changes less than .500 inch overall of the original DOM Baja pipe so Lunatik Eng numbers would be the same on both my mod and the Baja pipe. I have had a SenDec tach on one and it reached 16,500 . If what is on the market is how the profesional "pipe" guys weld I will keep modding and building my own.


I do see your point that the exit for the exhaust doesn't work for everyones needs but I am limited on that pipe mod to mod it without changing its performance characteristics from the DOM performance everyone already knows.
