Something Broke

Was out bashing in the retention pond (has no water in it)beside the the house,having a great time when all the sudden the motor started rev up and going know where,checked all the drive train nothing looked broken,could it the clutch or what do you think it could be. Thanks

Sounds like a loose or missing set screws on one of the gear drives or drive cups.

Checked all that and looks good,got clutch out it doesn't look that worn,I ordered another one we will see,thanks for the input rcdad

Check to see if the clutch loosened up.theres a bolt that holds the clutch holder to engine.c if thats loose

Does the A gear spin when you rev it up?

Does the truck roll smoothly when the engine is off?

This has set screw behind a gear writen all over it...A or D . they may feel tight but the torq from the motor will let the squares break loose and spin on the shaft if the setscrew is loose.

It must have been the clutch,the old didn't look that bad,went thru drive line did find a few things that needed to be tightened up, put the new clutch in and it works fine sitting on the work bench,will give it a test run this afternoon.
