So I was unning my XT and all of a sudden it ran away!!! So i thought my radio is going dead and the buit in failsafe was reversed!! Put it new batteries and just incase I put my hump pack back on the charger..... About 3 hours later I put everything back on and it keeps on running!! So I fixed the throttle trim....still keeps on trying to run...then I reset the needles back to stock, but its still doing the same thing!! What could be wrong???? My new servo?? I know its running lean but how?? Needles are back to stock!! I'm confused!!

Did you reset your idle screw when you reset your needles? You may want to check for air leaks as well. Check your linkages as well to make sure they open and close fully. last but not least check your throttle servo and failsafe to make sure your throttle isn't being held open enough to make your truck move.

It's a brand new servo!! Yes stock hump pack but it only ran for about 5 mins before it started to run away and re-charged!! And also did I mention that its hot as all hell out here in Chicago!! Idk if weather would make a difference

Did you reset the failsafe after you installed the new servo? Are you running a kill switch? If you aren't, you should get one. The failsafe isn't going to save you if the throttle servo dies.

yup i did reset the failsafe!! i put on my previous throttle servo (not stock) its still doing the same thing!!! so its not the servo!! i am not running a kill switch! im getting so frustrated that i may take it to my local hobby shop and have them take a look at it!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

I'd let the battery charge overnight and troubleshoot from there. That way you know the battery is fully charged and not causing the issue. You tried different servos and got the same result, so you can rule out a bad servo. Do you have another receiver you could try?

i don't have an extra reciever yet!! i should be getting my GT3B on friday!! i did try a different servo..unfortunaly i got the same result!! im gonna charge my hump pack over night and purchase a HPI hump pack from my hobby shop! the owner says it'll fit cuz hes got an XSC!

glitching

Check your on-off switch. remove it out of the box, there is a plastic cover on the back side- remove this, get a can of CRC electric cleaner from the automotive department @ wal-mart- 5 bucks- and flush it out. do not spray this into the recievers plug in jacks- just clean the male plug ins- Its methanol, harmless to the battery switch. Also, there are so damm many things out there that produce stray emmsions- interference- cellphones- wireless modems- smart meters on the side of homes-- it getting worse by the day-- more and more unsheilded electronic equipment- its a wonder ANYTHING works correct. -- The new radio you are getting is a very good idea. this 40 dollar radio has the innards to drive your car safe- as others said- get a kill switch- this operates on your new radios 3rd channel- a button on the handle- just saying------

I've done all of that!! Nothing to do with electric!! Servo is good! Switch and wires are clean. They look like they came outta the factory!! I'm almost 100% sure its the tuning!! And since I suck at tuning I took it to my hobby shop and they'll take a look at it in the morning!!

Bop

Speaking of interfirence-- A few years ago some of the electric companys and certan internet providers came up with thes bright idea- BOP.- broadband over powerlines, running a internet signal over unshelded power lines- god o mighty-- Japan attempted this - a dismal failure- so we thought we could perfect this idea-- We are all very lucky the Amature radio operators- hams stopped this- as i said on the above post-- nothing would ever work right agan- not even our radios- if this idea had not been shot down.---

Let us know what they find. If all the electronics check out, my next guess would be there's an issue with the clutch.

Yes. As the RPMs increase, centrifical force pushes the clutch shoes outward and into the clutch bell. If the clutch shoes are stuck they can't grip the clutch bell.
