Hello all. After many many hours (wife says days) of research on all the new stuff out I am buying 2 Rampage MT V3. One for me and my buddy is getting one as well. From the pics it looks like the MT is a ton better but not as fast as the XT due to the weight. Anyhow im here to ask you all what do you think of the MT V3? Also any info would help on this monster.


So far i found many things. I called redcat up for info on the tires because for the last few weeks they been out of stock. They told me there on order and hardly ever wear out. Then i went to ask him about specs on the new 30.5 cc motor. There is really no info on the new motor what so ever so he pulled up the older motor the 30 cc motor and told me it was specs had 4+ horse power and with the pro pipe 5 HP. But im not going that route. Right now my mind is going all over the place with pipes. I found a total of 5 aftermarket pipes for the MT. Pro pipe,Jetpro,DDM dominator, CPI, and the flowsystem. So far the only thing i can really go by is 2 of them. The CPI has DYNO numbers of 2HP gain with the 28.5 cc motor. The dominator has a very nice video on daves site. The bad thing is the flowsystem is 275$!!! Thats 100$ more then the other four. Any info would help on this :)
 
Great choice with the MT you will not be unhappy with it/them!!! They r ultra fun toys and with upgrades r even more fun... You came to z great forum as well... Enjoy and welcome!!!

Thanks Keith I cant get the rampage out of my head right now. This is all me and my friend think about. I see you have the pro model. I was going to get that one but to much aluminum is a bad thing from my experience. The plastic is better for bashing because it has a little give in it. But the shiny aluminum is very purrrty haha. When the aluminum mods came out for the inferno i spent about 3000$ in aftermarket parts (because them upgrades were new to RC and cost 30X more then) making it 100% show quality but after running it a few time and breaking 200$ A arms i gave up and sold it.

Ahhhhh i want my Rampage. I cant even enjoy call of duty MW3 with my new playstation.
 
Welcome and congrats on your new purchase.... Before you run it the 1st time make sure you run through the check list. The check list is posted some where on this forum but I cant locate it.

The Flowsystem pipe is new to Redcat. Not alot of guys have had the opportunity to run one. They are not mass produced which raises the cost. There is a video on here of it. It will be my next pipe.
 
Welcome!...It's gonna be fun fun fun...

A smooth power band may not be what a basher (NON racer) is looking for...but whatever pipe you choose, realize even the 30 cc motor is kind of a dog without one...also an 8000rpm clutch spring will help as well.

PS, don't bash with the body unless you are OK with Cracking or busting it to pieces...lol
 
welcome to the forum.+1 krashkrieg those bodies are more for show than go.I broke mine 1st time out.all those pipes are good just don't waste your money on the redcat pro tuned pipe.cheaply made,breaks easily.

I didn't take notice but you are right the flowsystem pipe is stainless. I've done some metal work before and stainless isn't cheap and I completely understand the price now.
 
I'm in love with my MT. It's a great truck and I really do enjoy it over just about any other RC I've ever had.

You'll love it, and I'm very familiar with the anxious feeling of a new, not yet obtained, toy. I still get that way with just about anything I buy. I hate waiting.

Grrrr you have to love H&R block new people. Well I guess I have to wait for another week due to an employee not doing his or her job. See the wife will not let me spend a large sum of money unless its income tax time. So I wait another week for my money and wait another week for my MT grrrr
 
MT's ORDERED! Kind of late to post this because i paid for them two days ago :/
