got a really cheap long motor off a forum member, so now have everything, lets hope I can put it all back together!

thanks for the info mate, much appreciated.

had a couple of days off work thanks to a stomach bug and finally removed the engine, once I pulled the coil off it spun freely, what could have caused that?

the coil will of droped and landed one on the magnet whice will if stoped the flywheel from moving

that must have been it, oh well got a couple of engines real cheap so all good, hoping to have it running by the end of this weekend.

finally got a spare fifty mins last night so made a start on the HPI, got the radio tray and fuel tank in, started to put the engine in but too many small bits that I don't know where they go, going to study the manual over the weekend. also trying to find a vid of engine installation on youtube which I think will help.

had a mate come around today, finsihed off putting the hpi back together and took it for a quick squirt in back yard, all looks well, carby might be on its way out though, doesn't want to idle nice unless you lean it off heaps when then affect off the line perfomance.

would you believe it was sunny all day yeasterday except at 3:30 when I got to the park and it pored down for the next several hours! LOL sometimes i think im destined not to run the HPI

well finally got the 5b out late last night and had a good bash. ran a full tank before I knew it and only stopped because I ran out of daylight.

only problem I had was the idle kept rising towards the end of the run so ive either got an air leak or it needs a good tune, ill try to nut it out next run.

thanks voo yeah i found them, everything is back together but im going to try and download all the tutorials coz i want to do a full rebuild next winter.

well this is the last post from me on this HPI as ive decided to get rid of it. I want to stick with FG. found the HPI i new home so all thats left to do now is clean it and post it.

i hope to get a RWD FG Baja early next year, stay tuned
