... that ive bought from a mate, pretty much stock except for samba pipe and cpl of other bits he thrown in for me, so just ordered some ally braces & servo bracket, will post some pics tommoz, my mate buys/sells largescales and he knew i was thinking of buying a 5T so he let me have this one for what he paid for it (£450 which is about $560) in good condition considering its the V1 so couldnt resist!, not sure what engine is in it but will be picking up the OBR Magnum early next year so for now whatever is in it will do! Gonna give it a complete strip down over the coming week and give it a once over, but looks in very good shape!

Gonna give the diffs/shocks a rebuild to make sure there all good etc, going to fit a monster diff locker to the centre and ive just ordered the 30DN shell (blue) as i like the look of it and pretty much unbreakable! Will keep hold of the original shell or may sell it, its in good condition but has a few scuffs as to be expected!

Also fit some Giant Grips that i have as love these rims/tires for bashing.

So yup, I'm now a member of the 5T crew! ..PS...still got my dibby v2, that's going no where! :D And my FG but decided to sell the FG as I simply don't have the room as I also have Tamiya's & a largescale RC Tug that ive been building for the last few years which is 1.8m in length...all in my work room! so yeh, space a little limited atm!

so completely stripped it down, and now starting to rebuild, fit the vitavon diffs/housing etc got the front end on now making a start on the rear end, i also fit a DBXL 2.0 wing to it using an alloy bracket i bought many moons from Hobbythek for my DBXL v1. I used a couple of pieces of 10mm carbon rod to fit it in place, i will be swapping the washers with black ones as its giving me OCD with the silver ones! I also need to mod the rear shock tower so it fits onto the Taylor diff housing, anyway, its getting there :)

hi guys!

took it out for 1st time boxing day, ran great, had a small issue with steering, but think sorted it now! but yeh ran great, got rebuild kit here for the shocks so will do that over the next few days, seems to have much more power than my dibby 2.0 and im using a stock zen in my 5T (the one i took out my dibby!), my dibby has a taylor 35 reed v2. Some of you may have noticed my other posts regarding lack of power in my dibby, but yeh this 5T seems to have way more power from the line than my dibby, another thing i noticed is when i spin the wheels by hand (off the ground) the 5T has very little resistance, but on my dibby they feel stiff, but smooth, iv checked the brakes etc and it isnt them binding, the drive train just feels stiff in general compared to the 5T, which is now what i think is the reason it lacks power from the line, i may strip the dibby down to figure out where the resistance is. Can only be the diff/housing or hubs really, the hubs are vitavon and i don't think its them, im pretty sure the resistance is coming from the diff housing/bulkhead which is.....FID! the actual diffs though are Losi with genuine losi alloy diff case.

in my previous post i mentioned vitavon diff/housing, i made a mistake, the diffs/housing/bulkheads/braces etc is all Taylor! & the centre diff housing/brake mount is IRC ;)
