Those of you running stock bearings and wheels. If you but a spacer in between the bearings they will last longer, no side load from overtightening the wheel nut.

I have some people asking me to make some spacers but I can't make them one set at a time, It cost too much.

So, is there a market for them? say 10.00 for a set of four? Would anybody buy them? I would prefer that they buy my bearing holders but not everyone can afford them.

The problem goes away when you use my HPI adapters. There are other HPI adapters out there but I'm not sure how they work and if they solve the problem of the wheel nut pushing the bearings togeather.

Thanks Big Daddy when I get back from Vacation and am able to spend some cash under wifey's radar I will have a nice order from you, The Rear Hubs, Bearings and then I will need to look at the HPI aadapters, guess with those I will have to buy new tires, what do ya'll recommend

I picked up the hpi adapters from Ol'fart and that was the best 60 bucks I have ever spent so with that said I am running 5B fronts and rears with trenchers mounted . My xt is all stock running 37 mph on break in carb setings. Next are bowtie rears

I found the same thing ,the bearings were being damaged from the side load when tightening the wheel ,when I replaced my bearings with some boca bearings I used red loctite to put the hubs back on ,doing so prevented the hubs from sliding on the axle and tightening up on the bearings.your Idea with the spacers would work well .if you go one step further and tighten the hub to the bearings by putting the wheel nut on to apply pressure to the center spacer while tightening the set screws in the hub the bearings will work as a unit and split the side load, as any side load would now apply force to both bearings not just the outside one.this would dramatically increase the load bearing capacity of the stock system, and remove any movement or play from the clearances between axle to bearing fit .Roger

My adapters do not put side load pressure on the bearings. That is why I didn't go with mating to the existing threaded axles.

10mm metric spacers are readily available off the shelf, no need for custom machining.
