Mines seen better days and it's getting close to needing replacement, the question is will any old plug lead say from a car be of use or does in need to be specific to the small engines, I have seen some on Ebay for the FG & Hpi but to me seem very pricey for what they are.

Actually I was bored the other day and cut a old car plug wire that wasn't wire in the center but some type of fiber in the center and it works great

Modern cars don't use COPPER Core in the plugg leads.
they use some kind of carbon fiber or somthing like that.

Copper core cabels are more resistant to wear and tear than the fiber cabels.
if you go to a shop that sells chainsaws, lawnmovers and other gardening stuff they will probobly hook you up with som good copper core spark plugg cabels.
Normal car cabels are 8 mm in diameter, but the cabels on our small engines are about 6 mm
