spectrum receiver antenna wire

just got a spectrum receiver to put in my marder the antenna wire is about 4 inch long is this ok or does it need extending

I use Spektrums on nearly all of mine, and to use a Hyperpete phrase, I can send the vehicle beyond where I can see which way it's going and the control is perfect.
I've never had problems with them.

never ever change the antenna length.

2.4ghz systems have much shorter antennas than the 27/40mhz ones, so it will work properly and you have a perfectly normal antenna length

dsm 1, if you read the manual you can cut the antenna length to 2.6 inches. the dsm 2 are a bit different
