guys im thinking about buying a front sway bar for the baja, thinking it will help transfer the weight on the front end and reduce the understeer, what do we think?

well I finally pulley my finger out and found a way to compress the pics so I can post them.

as you can see from the pics ive only taken out what I needed to from the body to keep it as strong as possible. i will need to take more out when I get a pipe but this will do for now.

all you need to do this is a pair of snips and a dremel. now I can access easily pull start and carby needles.

thats the look I was looking for to be honest, still keep it looking stock but be able to get to what I wanted to. not much needs to be taken off at all but that little I have taken off has made it allot easier.

Had an awesome track run Sat morinng before I went camping. met up with a few forum members (other forums) and made a real day of it.

My highlight would have to have been when I decided to clear a tabletop, jump itself was over 6ft tall, distance wasnt huge, maybe 4ft, had too much speed and didnt realise the kick on the jump, got 3 ft higher and landed halfway down the track, didnt break anything so very happy. Great day overall.

wow, had an awesome weekend with the new baja (not so lucky in other areas). Ran 3 tanks in total, 2 sat morning with a couple of members at the essex track and then another tank last night at the hampton track.

took some big tumbles last night, popped the steering saver out of place, fixed it back at home, overall this baja is taking quite a beating and I haven't broken anything yet although the chassis is showing some pretty severe signs of wear, from bottoming out from jumps.

gave it a hose and clean last night, looks good again lol.

So far overall its been awesome, the only thing to consistently let me down is the reciever battery which cant be blamed on the FG.

Glad you liking it bud :cool2: I fancy 1 but cant see it being that much different to the marder (except the 4wd) so I will prob go the other way & get a MB or MT if the missus 'allows' me to have a 2nd car :clown::clown:

sorry guys no vids yet, ive been having too much fun, ill do my best to get some this weekend though.

new receiver battery just came in, hope I have more luck with this one than the last one!

wested 3 hours last night removing the blue clutch spring out of my MT last night to put into the baja only to find after taking apart the MT to get the spring, then the baja to put it in that the baja already comes with a blue clutch spring! GRRR

well had my first scary moment with the baja today but so far all is well.

one of the tracks finally dried up yeasterday so ran two tanks with a mate. towards the end on final corner steering didnt respond and the baja shot under a electrified and barbed wire fence, just out of reach

So got a mate to hold up the barbed wire while I crawled under to retrieve it. Couldnt figure out why it didnt respond until I got it home. The charge lead connector (molonex) had come out and had been sparking (connectors discoloured now).

Ill put some new connectors back on and cable tie it to the roll cage so it doesn't flop around and come off again.

Charged the batter back up and its holding 6.8volts so all the cells are working, thank goodness coz I only got this battery from PSR last week!

this is what the baja looked like after a 15 min run at a wet track, this is the dirtiest any of my buggies have ever been!

LOL I love it looking dirty but always concerned it dirt sitting there might do damage to something so its never like that for more than 48 hours.

My new Jetpro pipe is leaving the US today, hopefully I get it sometime next week. Will post pics.

Cant believe ive been running the stock muffler for 3 weeks LOL!

any chance you can get a GPS trace with teh stock can and then the Jetpro, I'm interested to know the power curve differences.

all you need to do is capture a track a 1s intervals, and I can number crunch it for you. I'm still itchy to get a JetPro myself (I have now brazed my pipe back together, but it ain't pretty, some mumpty let it get a bit hit and it started melting.....)

not sure how I would do this. I can and will be comparing lap time differences at our local bmx track.

maybe someone with one of those GPS phones.

look into it and tell me how to do it and ill see what I can do.

yeah i decided to go the jetpro because i am very happy with the jetprov2 ive got on my MT

man it looks like your baja was on the christmas diet... must have gaine 10 lbs just in dirt... awesome. I finally caught up in your thread. The bajas just look cool. how's the traction with those tires? I'd like to try a set with my TB2

yeah when i took the body off I couldnt believe how much heavier the body was compared to when its clean, heaps heavier LOL.

its all clean now but the weekend is close so it wont be long before its diry again LOL
