in the last week both myself and mate have fitted dom v2 pipes. cars bothe fly now (both 23cc v2.0). but we have both stripped the spur gears teeth completly off. ive done 2 spurs today while my mate has stripped 3. any advice as the a fix for this and whats causing it. i think its prob done to the power hike from the pipe and extra heat. as the pinion gear is getting red hot.
what do i need to buy to solve this????

Like you said today, maybe drill the clutch bell or get a vented one.
Whats your clutch shoes like and what spring are you using (standard or 8000rpm), could it be the bearings in the carrier getting tight ??

its standard clutch fitted the other way. and 8000rpm springs. thinking of a hostile spur supposed to be a lot better

i,ve had this problem and i was running a standard 23cc with a hpi ss pipe, i put two 1mm shim washers behind the spur ,this sorted the in and out slack movment , i,ve since upgraded to a 26cc motor and the spur is still fine in fact its 6months old, allso if your doing a lot of jumping that ain,t good for spur gears, voo will tell you that.

Sounds like your clutch shoes are not biting and heating the bell which may be heating the metal pinion melting the spur. Check you clutch shoes..
On anothe note, is any of the metal or support plates broken at the brake area?

No there's no plAtes broken. It just funny that it's doing same on both cars after fitting the Dom pipes. I've just fitted a full turtle clutch system and hostile hardened spur gear so should be ok. Give it a good try on Sunday.
